The Observatório Gaúcho da Carne was born from the union of the organizations representing livestock farming in Rio Grande do Sul, to meet the need for information on, and understanding of, beef production and the beef market.
OGC is an accessible and transparent intelligence system with several analysis dashboards that make it possible to understand the past, assess the present and plan the future. Understanding the realities shown by the data supports business decisions and the design of public policies, and helps plan medium- and long-term actions for the development and modernization of livestock farming.
A database was built from several official public sources and from an in-depth study of field and market realities. In other words: "we turned Big Data into Beef Data".
